When is Columbus Day?

When is Columbus Day?

Columbus Day in 2012 is on Monday, the 8th of October.

In the United States, Columbus Day is always celebrated on the second Monday in October.

Columbus Day remembers Christopher Columbus' arrival to the Americas on October 12, 1492. This holiday is controversial because the European settlement in the Americas led to the demise of the history and culture of the indigenous people.

Remember that September Day... September 11, 2001

Remember that September Day... September 11, 2001

Today marks 11 years since the horrific attacks to The United States of America.  I still remember that day, even though I wasn't home that day and was visiting family.

Watched the news as if it was a nightmare and saw the exact moment that the second plane hit the World Trade Center.

I will never forget that day, had nobody close to me die that day, but still, that was the beginning of a new world in the United States and all over the world.

I pray for all of those who lost their lives and for our Heroes that tried to save lives and lost theirs.  For the fabulous Firefighters and Police Department that did their best to stay focused in the midst of all of this tragedy.

I pray for all the families that lost their loved ones.

Take a moment and remember them, Freedom is not free, we have to try one by one to make this world a better place.  We can only change ourselves.

Here are some pictures to remember that day... Share them with your friends.  Do not forget that September Day.
